Immanuel Vision Foundation

Immanuel Vision Foundation

We believe that we are stronger, together.

Since 2015, the Immanuel Vision Foundation has provided financial support to nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations whose missions align with our own. More specifically, those that:

“Meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of seniors,
respond to needs in community health, and support the ministry of the Church.”

Grant Applicants

The Immanuel Vision Foundation has two annual grant cycles.

Spring Community Grant Cycle
Any nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that aligns with the criteria detailed below is welcome to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) by the February 15th deadline. The LOI will be available here on January 15th and must be submitted via the IVF's online platform. Notification of invitation to apply or denial will be communicated by February 29th. A complete application for those invited to apply must be submitted by 11:59 pm on March 31st. Spring Community Grants are awarded in amounts up to $75,000.

Additionally, there is a special category of Senior Impact Catalytic Grants, which are larger, more focused grants intended to empower significant efforts to address the needs of seniors. Those applying for this catalytic grant may request a multi-year distribution of up to $300,000 annually. These grants follow the same process and timeline.

All returning applicants must use their current Foundant login to prevent duplicate accounts. All new applicants must create a new account in Foundant. Our grant portal allows you to save and return your application as often as you would like, but the application must be submitted by 11:59 pm on March 31st.

ELCA Congregation Grant Cycle
Starting July 1, the Immanuel Vision Foundation will have a rolling ELCA congregation grant process for all eligible Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregations in Nebraska and select counties in Iowa. In mid-June, all congregations will receive an invitation letter with the access code to submit an online application. If you believe your congregation should be eligible to apply and you do not receive a letter by July 1, please contact Maggie Yaeger at 402.829.6959 or myaeger@immanuel.com. ELCA congregation grants are awarded in amounts up to $15,000.

Please note: congregations of other denominations, churches outside the Immanuel Vision Foundation eligibility area, and religious nonprofits are ineligible to apply during this grant cycle.

All returning applicants must use their current Foundant login to prevent duplicate accounts. All new applicants must create a new account in Foundant. Our grant portal allows you to save and return your application as often as you would like, but the application must be submitted by the stated deadlines within the invitation letter.

Grants will only be awarded for the following priority areas:

Seniors
The Immanuel Vision Foundation supports programs and initiatives that embody Immanuel's vision that "All people will grow and age with dignity, safety, and wellness." Immanuel's expertise in the health and well-being of seniors, identified as the post-65 age population, makes this a particular priority area for IVF funding.

Community Health
Community Health, as envisioned by the Immanuel Vision Foundation, pertains to targeted initiatives to optimize the health and well-being of individuals and families residing in our communities. It revolves around proactive measures, interventions, and partnerships that tackle specific health issues while nurturing a culture of wellness. Our approach encompasses a spectrum of programs and services designed to prevent and address health challenges, fostering physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, all within the framework of our commitment to supporting our community's vitality. While we recognize the interconnectedness of social determinants, our primary focus is on strategic efforts addressing pressing health concerns, ensuring our communities can thrive in optimal health.

The Church
Grants in this area support qualifying ELCA congregations that reflect a commitment to faith-based service to others. This priority area is funded through the ELCA Congregation grant cycle.

Organizations Seeking Foundation Funding Must Meet the Following Criteria:
