Is Immanuel still hiring?
Yes, we are actively recruiting for all open posted positions. We are adjusting our hiring process to ensure we are creating a safe environment for our employees, candidates, residents, and participants.
Are job interviews still happening?
Yes. To minimize risk, we now offer virtual interviews as an alternative to in-person interviews. Our virtual recruitment process may include telephone interviews, video interviews and other virtual opportunities to make it as safe and convenient as possible for all candidates, employees, and caregivers.
What tips do you have for candidates preparing for a virtual interview?
You can click HERE for some tips in preparing for a virtual interview.
Is travel still allowed for out-of-area applicants?
No. However, we are scheduling virtual interviews for all candidates needing to travel. Travel for interviews is not allowed until further notice.
Are the positions you are hiring for required to work on-site or can I work from home?
During the COVID-19 outbreak, telework is highly encouraged for positions with duties that can be accomplished remotely.
However, many positions require you to be in the community or center. From resident/participant care to food workers and housekeeping staff, our residents are counting on our staff to provide on-site expertise and service.
Are new employee/caregiver orientations still happening?
In light of social distancing requirements for COVID-19, all in person New Employee Orientation classes have been postponed. Upon return to normal operations, orientation classes will be scheduled for all new hires who joined Immanuel during the pandemic response. All online orientation training is being assigned and completed, as required, upon hire.
Orientation to your assigned location and your job role continues as normal.
How are you supporting your employees/caregivers through these difficult and unprecedented times?
Immanuel knows its important to support our staff during this time, so please click here to see compensation and other benefits.
What are you doing to keep your employees/caregivers safe?
Immanuel is committed to a mission of serving seniors, each other and the community. Knowing that we care for a vulnerable population, we are on high-alert today as we are every day. With ongoing precautions and guidance from our state and local health departments, the Centers for Disease Control and our national and local policy makers and associations, Immanuel has progressively elevated our infectious disease protocols in our retirement and care communities, Pathways centers and offices. Some of the steps being taken include COVID-19 symptom training, additional CDC recommended infection prevention training, and limiting symptomatic employees from working until well. In addition, we have the required PPE available for staff to use.
