2018 Awards of Excellence

Six Immanuel employees were nominated by peers and selected as winners of the 2018 Awards of Excellence. These awards were presented the the employees at the Annual Appreciation Event at Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista, Nebraska.

The awards were separated into six categories that represent the acronym of Immanuel's C.H.R.I.S.T Promises: Compassion, Honor, Relationships, Integrity, Serve and Teamwork. Each employee has demonstrated a trait profoundly throughout their career with Immanuel.

The Compassion Award is given to a team member who genuinely cares about the residents / participants they serve as well as their fellow teammates. They demonstrate love, empathy, kindness and the ability to share in the joys and sorrows of others.

The Honor Award is presented to an Immanuel employee who holds a deep regard for the dignity of each person. This employee recognizes and celebrates the good in others and always finds ways to recognize the talents of others. This employee takes pride in working for Immanuel and radiates this to all they meet.

The Relationships Award honors an individual for taking the time to cultivate relationships with residents / participants and other staff. This employee forms bonds with others through listen ears, caring hands and non-judgemental eyes. This employee does not rush from task to task, but rather takes the time to genuinely find out how others are doing and makes them feel welcome.

The Integrity Award is given to an individual who is honest, ethical and consistently demonstrates responsible behavior. This employee has a strong moral compass that guides actions, decisions and interactions with others.

The Serve Award is given to an individual who models Jesus' example of service, "the one who is greatest among you shall be your servant." This employee is constantly helping others, content to be behind the scenes and contributing to the well-being of others. If the employee sees something that needs to be done, he or she will jump into action to make sure a resident/participant or teammate is served.

The Teamwork Award recognizes an employee who puts their personal needs or desires second to the needs of the team. This individual is a positive team motivator and member who goes out of his or her way to work with fellow employees in the accomplishment of common goals.
