Immanuel Pathways is pleased to celebrate National PACE® Month and the programs that drive independence for hundreds of community participants throughout the month of September. “Driving independence” is the theme for this year’s PACE Month celebration.
PACE is an acronym that stands for Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. Immanuel Pathways is a PACE program that includes a complete health plan for eligible individuals from eastern Nebraska, southwest and central Iowa. Through a comprehensive health care professional team, Pathways participants receive a wide range of care to remain active, healthy and living at home. Immanuel Pathways is one of only 239 PACE centers operating nationally.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate National PACE Month this September,” said Eric Gurley, Immanuel president and CEO. “Immanuel Pathways is a unique approach to aging—one that provides needed health care services while allowing participants to remain living at home. We couldn’t be more proud of the innovative work by our comprehensive healthcare team and are pleased to celebrate them this September.”
For qualifying individuals, PACE services are provided at no cost to participants. The“Driving Independence” PACE month theme celebrates the importance of the relationship between the PACE van driver to many of PACE enrollees. Transportation of participants to the PACE center is an important aspect of PACE services.
